Memories

Written for Mondays Finish the Story.

“As her mount shifted uneasily under her, she grasped the brim of her old felt Stetson, gazed upwards and remembered Jean Pierre.”

Jean, whom she had loved more than anything else in this world. But, now the name itself sends chills down her spine. She can never forget that night. Everyday she dreams of a new beginning but the bruises on her body don’t let her forget the past. She is glad those days are over but the memories still haunt her.

Suddenly she felt somebody’s hand in her hand. Its Zac. She thinks,”Oh, how much he reminds me of you! But I have to be strong. For my little angel. For our child. No! My child.” She smiles and picks him up. Together they walk towards the tower dreaming of a new beginning, again!

  1. This is wonderful! Too bad the memories are bad and great that she got away from it but she has a special someone that will have made the relationship worth it, the little guy, Zac. Great story!
